Wipro Acquires HARMAN DTS

Bengaluru: Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT, BSE: 507685, NSE: WIPRO), an AI-powered technology services and consulting company, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business unit of Harman, a Samsung company.

The acquisition of Harman DTS unit expands Wipro’s engineering research and development (ER&D) services, bolstering its capabilities in AI-driven digital engineering and device engineering across industries such as technology, aerospace, healthcare, industrial, and consumer sectors.

As part of the agreement, more than 5,600 Harman DTS employees, including senior leadership, across the Americas, Europe, and Asia will transition to Wipro upon closing of the deal. The acquisition, subject to regulatory approvals, is expected to be completed by December 31, 2025.

The Harman DTS business unit brings extensive strengths in domain-led design, connected products, software platforms, and AI-native accelerators. With its unique approach of combining engineering expertise with human-centric design, DTS enables transformation at scale.

Wipro Acquires HARMAN DTS: Strategic Partnership with Samsung and HARMAN

As part of the Harman DTS acquisition, Wipro will enter into a multi-year strategic agreement with both HARMAN and Samsung. This collaboration aims to create new avenues for joint growth and strengthen Wipro’s software-defined, platform-centric engineering strategy.

Following regulatory approval, DTS will be integrated into Wipro’s Engineering Global Business Line. Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. acted as the financial advisor to HARMAN for this transaction.
